Book 7 Upcoming Changes to PvMP

This forum is for players to post and let other players know about in-game events they're organizing - parties, weddings, role-playing events, and so on. The forum can be found under Community, and here's a direct link.

There are a few basic guidelines for event postings:

- Please post only ONE advertisement per event.
- Remember to include the location, date, time, time zone, and server. Events without all of this information will not be approved!
- Posts are moderated, so please allow at least one week's lead time for approval.

The LOTRO Game Servers will be brought down on Thursday, February 12 from 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM Eastern (-5 GMT) for a hotfix.
This hotfix will address several player reported issues related to the stability and performance of the game worlds. As part of the resolution of these issues, we have temporarily closed the Great Barrows instance and all related quests (including Volume I: Book 1, Chapter 11) until the hotfix is applied.

Alright, Guardians of Middle-earth, it's your turn!
I have spoken with your development team, and they've given me some pearls of wisdom regarding upcoming changes in Book 7.
"Tell us Turbine!" you cry. "Prepare to be told," we reply.

Anyway, there's some good stuff coming for you all in Book 7, but here are the tidbits we thought you'd be most excited about.

• Guardian threat generation skills (Bash, Engage, Fray the Edge, Shield-blow, Improved Shield-blow, Shield-swipe, Shield-taunt, Sweeping Cut, and Vexing Blow) will have the threat they generate increased!
• Litany of Defiance will provide increased threat generation.
• All instant threat and threat-over-time effects have had their critical multiplier increased. Yes, your threat can critical!
• There will be an overall reduction in monster resists, so your taunt skills will now work more reliably.

On Tuesday, February 17 Turbine will be pruning the LOTRO forums. Any thread that has not been active since September 1, 2008 will be deleted.
