Turbine is taking full control of Lotro in Europe beginning June 1, 2011.

NEEDHAM, MA – APRIL 26, 2011 -- Turbine announced today that it will be expanding its global operations and will assume full control of The Lord of the Rings Online™ (LOTRO) in Europe beginning June 1, 2011. As part of this transition, Codemasters Online will continue to operate the European LOTRO service until June 1st when the existing European players will begin the migration to Turbine’s global service. Lotro Update 3 Content Prices

These information are from Bullroarer Test Server and all prices can be changed. Each item is priced at 395 TP. Items aren't included in any existing content purchase, and instances aren't attached to the zones existing quest packs.

1. Instance: Halls of Night
Grants access to the instance Halls of Night. This instance can be access at level 40 and provides scaled spaces for three players on two difficulty settings. Scaled Instances can be accessed via Classic area of the Instance Join panel (hit 'Ctrl-J' then click the Classic tab at the top). This is an account-level purchase, providing access to this Instance for all eligible characters on your account.
Level: 40 to 65
Classes: All
Uses: Account
Points: 395 TP

2. Instance: Inn of the Forsaken
Grants access to the instance Inn of the Forsaken. This instance can be access at level 20 and provides scaled spaces for three players on two difficuly settings. This is an account-level purchase, providing access to this Instance for all eligible characters on your account.

Skirmishes can be accessed via Skirmish area of the Instance Join panel (hit 'Ctrl-J' then click the Skirmish tab at the top). This is an account-level purchase, providing access to this Skirmish for all eligible characters on your account.

4. Skirmish: The Icy Crevasse
Grants access to a Skirmish taking place at the The Icy Crevasse in Forochel. This skirmish can be accessed at level 40 and provides scaled spaces for solo, 2, 3, 6, or 12 player group play. Lotro Bullroarer Release Notes – Update 3

New version of the Bullroarer Release Notes about Lotro Update 3 has been released. The following changes apply only to the Bullroarer Test Server and can be changed before being released to the live servers.

New Scaled Instances
Two new scaled instances are now available!

Inn of the Forsaken

Levels 20-65 (Scaling)
Size: 3 Person Instance
Rewards: New armor, jewelry and cosmetic items.

Halls of Night

Levels: 40-65 (scaling)
Size: 3 Person Instance
Rewards: New armor, weapons and pocket items.

New Skirmishes
Two new skirmishes are available for Players level 30-65! New armour and Jewellery are available at Skirmish Vendors.

Attack at Dawn – Offensive Skirmish

Levels: 30-65

The Icy Crevasse – Offensive

Levels: 40-65

It's the Little Things that count
The following items have been changed or added to the game based on player feedback & suggestions.

The Title panel now allows you to search for specific titles.
The map notes for stable-masters now display their location name in their tooltips.
Three new Community Designed relics have been added to the melding panel!
Critial Success during relic forging now has a small chance to provide additional relics in addition to bonus shards.
Edhelharn Token can now be stacked to a max of 20.

Important announcement for EU Lotro Players

Codemasters confirmed today that Update 2: Echoes of the Dead is going live on the EU servers tomorrow! They also posted important announcement about Instances:

Please do not log your character off and leave it in an instance for Update 2’s maintenance window tomorrow, as this could cause unwanted issues for your character due to the changes the Update makes. Thank you for your co-operation.

Codemasters delayed Lotro launch of Echoes of the Dead.

Codemasters decided to delay the launch of the latest Lotro Update 2: Echoes of the Dead for EU players due to a problem with legendary weapons (the critical results are providing shards and not the relics of the next higher tier). Codemasters will wait until the hotfix is available and the new launch date is scheduled for Thursday, 24th March. Since Turbine announced tentatively scheduled server maintenance we hope this issue will be solved quickly.

Due to a critical issue discovered on the US service we have chosen to delay the European release of Update 2: Echoes of the Dead until we have the hotfix applied to our version. The issue discovered is that critical relic combines are not providing the next tier of relic like normal combines

The hotfix is due later today and will immediately be deployed to QA for testing. We are tentatively targeting Thursday, 24th March as our revised launch date for Update 2: Echoes of the Dead.

Due to this delay, the Spring Festival start has also been postponed. We will be extending the Spring Festival accordingly once Update 2 has been released.

We have confirmed that critical relic combines are not providing the next tier of relic like normal combines. We are currently working on this issue. This issue has now been added to the known issues list.

Turbine Tuesdays: On Sale Tomes Of Agility

This Tuesday, March 22nd from 12AM -12PM EST (-5 GMT), Tomes Of Agility will be on 50% Sale!

Permanently boost your character's Agility!
- Increase hit chance for attacks
- Increase chance to evade and parry attacks
- Increase ranged damage
- Increase critical chance with melee and ranged attacks

Each tome gives a stat increase of 10, and can be applied up to five times.

Tentatively Scheduled Lotro Server Maintenance – 22nd March 2011

Turbine announced server maintenance on 22nd March, for fixing an issue with Relic combining and critical results.

The LOTRO Game Servers are tentatively scheduled to be brought down on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 9:00AM Eastern (-4 GMT) to address an issue with Relic combining and critical results. This will be a server-side only change.
